Hasmik Amirian is an Armenian-born ballet dancer and renowned master teacher trained in the Vaganova (Russian) method. She began her ballet education at age seven at the Armenian Choreographic Ballet Institute and later became a soloist with the Armenian National Opera Ballet Theatre.

In 1992, she immigrated to the United States, where she performed internationally and worked as a guest artist with several respected ballet companies. She settled in Los Angeles after joining the Los Angeles Classical Ballet in 1995.

Hasmik is now a highly sought-after ballet educator in Los Angeles. She taught at the Marat Daukeyev School of Ballet beginning in 2002, served as assistant director from 2007 to 2017, and later founded her own school, Hasmik Amirian Ballet. Her students have earned top honors at major international competitions, and her school has received multiple Outstanding School awards from YAGP.

She has also supported dancers through scholarships, served as a ballet master at Debbie Allen Dance Studios, and taught as a guest master teacher at numerous institutions. Her students have gone on to train and perform with many of the world’s leading ballet schools, universities, and companies. Hasmik is widely respected for her refined Vaganova-based training and healthy approach to developing the next generation of dancers.
